Solar System Trivia Quiz
Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity – the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune; dwarf planets such as Pluto; dozens of moons; and millions of asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. Beyond our own solar system, we have discovered thousands of planetary systems orbiting other stars in the Milky Way.
For millennia, astronomers have been chasing after specks of light that appear to be moving among the stars. Planets were given this name by the ancient Greeks, which means "wanderers."
Discovering and understanding the planets and small bodies that make up our solar system can help scientists answer questions about the solar system's formation, how it became so diverse, how life evolved on Earth and perhaps elsewhere in the solar system, and what characteristics of the solar system lead to the origins of life.
The Solar System has been introduced to us during our early years of school. Now it's time to answer questions and put our knowledge to the test to see how well we know this subject.
This quiz will allow you to put yourself to the test! Take this quiz to see how well you recall the Solar System in class. This will assist you in determining your memory level as well as recalling details that you may have forgotten. Best of luck!
