President John F. Kennedy’s polished, preppy, conservative appearance captivated the world and served as an inspiration to many a style-conscious man, including designers Thom Browne and Ralph Lauren.
Nothing particularly noteworthy about it, but it didn’t need to be in order to be effective. It was simple, well-thought-out, and unassuming. Always stylish, but never showy.
